Hi,
My name is Damien Shafer, I am the owner of Mid Missouri Auto Consultants LLC.
I reside in Fayette MO, with my wife Stephanie, and my twin boys Matthew and Levi.

I have spent most of my working life, out of college, in the sales industry. Some of my
experience had been indirect, and some had been direct, business to business. One of the
things I always struggled with, was that I felt I had to take advantage of peoples lack of
knowledge about the product I was selling, in order to make money. The more “gross
profit” I made, the more money I made for my family. I was never really successful at
that. I was, however, successful at really understanding the needs of people, and I had
the ability to develop relationships with them. It is really what kept food on my table at
home, otherwise we all would have starved to death.

I have always had a love for automobiles, but never wanted to embark on a career as a car
salesman. Unfortunately their reputation isn’t all that great, even though there are a few
out there that are really stand up people. I had it in my mind that I wanted to open my
own used car lot. I felt I could really help people get what they wanted, and make some
money in the process. The part that really got me was the up front cost. It seemed almost
impossible. Besides that I couldn’t get away from the part about making money off of
people.

I then was introduced to American Auto Consultants, Inc. through a friend of mine.
What they provided was exactly what I was looking for; A way to develop relationships
with people, to really help them get what they want. And the whole point was to get
them something at the lowest price possible. I would make money, by saving folks
money. It was a match made in heaven as far as I was concerned.
